The Man
A. Lawrence Haskins was born in Tacoma, Washington on October 14, 1970 to the union of Louis Edward and Lucille Haskins. His father and mother, examples of strong and consistent work ethic, sacrificed continually to take care of their nine children; an undertaking they accomplished with unparalleled success.
Raised with strong spiritual and religious values, Haskins has continually drawn strength from the knowledge that there is a power that exceeds his own, especially in those times when it seemed his flaws would be his undoing. He remembers fondly the days his mother and father would ready him and his eight siblings to go to church services although Haskins readily admits that at the time it seemed to him to be abject drudgery.
