How To Gatsby, workshop, show and sale the Hunt Save the Fox

How-to-Gatsby

The How-to-Gatsby workshop, fashion show and sale will be Sunday, August 23rd 1 – 5pm, at the Chapel of the Chimes in Piedmont. We are busy working with vendors, speakers, workshops and entertainment. All so you will be ready for:

Our famous Gatsby Summer Afternoon - 25 years at the Dunsmuir Estate! As always the Gatsby will be held the second Sunday in September: September, 13, 2009. See you there!

We have a fabulous new How to Gatsby event planned for Art Deco Ladies and Gents complete with lectures, demonstrations and vendors galore!

Cosponsored by the Lifemark Group the event will be held in the lovely Chapel of the Chimes - built in 1909. The structure was expanded and re-built in 1928 based on designs by Julia Morgan—one of the premier architects of the 20th century. Today, it is one of the Bay Area’s most beautiful buildings.

Join The Hunt To Save The Fox!

The Art Deco Society of California has committed to raise $2,500 to help the Oakland Fox Theater pay down their bills. Now is the time we become a fundraising organization instead of cheering from the sidelines. The economy has slowed down and makes money tight for everyone, including non profits. So please dig deep with a tax-deductable donation and help us help our neighbors. Keep your eye on the Fox-O-Meter, every $100 turns a fox red as we get closer to our goal of $2,500. With this commitment the ADSC gets a lovely brass plaque at the Fox Theater site.
