ABC of Relativity - Bertrand Russell
Bertrand Russell's explanation of Einstein's Special and General theories of Relativity. I would assume this book was written for at least two reasons.
The theory is mathematical at it's core. it was (and still is) inaccessible to non-specialists in mathematics This audio book is appreciable to one and all, regardless of mathematical capabilities. (The written text had neither equations nor diagrams!).
There were many rumors about the theory at that time (1915 - on) . I think they can be summed up by the following;
The British astronomer Sir Arthur Eddington, one of the first people to fully comprehend theory, when asked if it was true that only three people in the world understood general relativity, was said to have replied, 'Who is the third?
Clocks, trains and gedanken experiments galore!
